Developmental editing for character-driven fantasy, speculative fiction, and romance, with a focus on motivation, POV, pacing, structure, and emotional payoff. My goal is not to rewrite your book into the way I would have written it. I identify what the manuscript is trying to accomplish, where it isn’t yet landing, and help you find a stronger version of your own story and prose.

First 10K Critique
For writers who want focused feedback on an opening before committing to a full-manuscript edit.
Includes up to 10,000 words, in-manuscript comments, a concise editorial letter, and prioritized revision notes
$165 flat rate
Manuscript Assessment
A full read and detailed editorial letter addressing character, structure, pacing, POV, worldbuilding, emotional arcs, and overall story effectiveness.
Includes one written follow-up round for clarification.
Starting at 1.6¢ per word
Developmental Edit
Includes everything in the Manuscript Assessment, plus extensive in-manuscript comments showing where larger developmental issues appear at the scene and chapter level.
Includes a detailed editorial letter and one follow-up debrief.
Starting at 3¢ per word
Line Editing
For structurally sound manuscripts that need sentence-level refinement while preserving the author’s existing voice. Recommended for manuscripts that have already completed major structural revisions.
Focuses on clarity, rhythm, syntax, repetition, word choice, filtering, dialogue, tone, and sentence-level POV consistency.
Starting at 2.7¢ per word
Final quotes are based on manuscript length, complexity, condition, and requested turnaround. Rush scheduling may incur an additional fee.
